Once enabled by the LastPass end user or LastPass admin (for LastPass Business accounts), dark web monitoring is an always-on feature, therefore it is not possible to manually run a scan to check your email addresses against security breaches.
This means that LastPass is monitoring the email addresses in your vault 24/7, and if they are found in the database of breached accounts, you will be notified via email notification and as a dark web monitoring alert within the Security Dashboard. You will also be advised of additional details involved in the compromise, and our recommendation for next steps. Learn more about managing dark web monitoring alerts.
Note: Only 100 email addresses are monitored. You can start, stop, or add new email addresses that you would like to have monitored.
Restriction: If you have a LastPass Teams or LastPass Business account, the ability to perform these actions may be limited or prohibited due to policies enabled by your LastPass admin.
