How can I get Console and Network Logs for LastPass in Chrome?

    If you are experiencing issues with LastPass, you can see if errors are being generated in the Developer Tools to help LastPass Support troubleshoot the issue.

    Console

    1. Log into LastPass with your email address and master password at https://lastpass.com/?ac=1.
    2. Open Developer Tools – https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/.
    3. Open the Console Tab – https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/console.
    4. Clear the log – https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/console.
    5. Enable Preserve Log – https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/console/.
    6. Try the action again to reproduce the error.

      Tip: If there are errors, they will be displayed on the page, otherwise the page will be blank if there are no errors.

    7. Right-click anywhere within the Developer Tools pane, then select Save As.
    8. Enter a name for your file, then click Save.
    Results: You have saved a Console log file.
    What to do next: You can contact LastPass Support by clicking a contact option at the bottom of this article and include the log file when you submit a new case.

    Network

    1. In Developer Tools, navigate to the Network tab.
    2. Make sure that it is set to record – https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/network/reference#record.
    3. Clear the log – https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/network/reference#clear.
    4. Enable Preserve Log – https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/network/reference#preserve-log.
    5. Try the action again to try to reproduce the error.

      Result: Errors will be displayed in red text.

    6. Click the Download icon then select Export HAR.
    7. Enter a name for your file, then click Save.
    Results: You have saved a Network log file.
