Create general reports in the new Admin Console

    LastPass Business offers extensive reporting to help you safeguard your organization’s data and build compliance. Available in the new Admin Console, general reports offer LastPass admins an audit trail that can also be exported to be shared with key stakeholders as needed.

    User activity report

    The User Activity report provides a comprehensive log (up to 2 years of history) of every login event, password or username update, attempted or completed form fill items, deleted site password entries by your users, and much more. The logs include attempted (e.g., failed login attempts) and successful actions.

    How to export a user activity report

    1. Log in with your email address and master password to access the new Admin Console at https://admin.lastpass.com.
    2. If prompted, complete steps for multifactor authentication (if it is enabled for your account).
    3. Go to Reporting > General reports > User activity.
    4. Navigate to your desired report in any of the following ways:
      • In the Search field, enter keywords for an event information, or user.
      • Use the drop-down menu to select a specific event type, or select All Event Types.
    5. Select your desired date range from 7 days, 2 weeks, or last month.
    6. Click Export Report to save or open the file.

      Result: You have exported a User Activity report based on your selections.

    Admin activity report event types

    The Admin Activity report provides a detailed breakdown of all administrative actions taken via the Admin Console, including the following:
    • Create, delete, disable, or reactivate an employee account
    • Reset a user's master password
    • Add admin permissions to a user
    • Remove a user from the company
    • Add, delete, or edit policies
    • Add, edit or delete User Groups
    • Update policy users

    A complete list of all actions and their designations can be found here. Please note that you must be actively logged in with a LastPass Business account in order to view the full list of actions available.

    How to export an admin activity report

    1. Log in with your email address and master password to access the new Admin Console at https://admin.lastpass.com.

    3. Go to Reporting > General reports > Admin activity.
    4. Navigate to your desired report in any of the following ways:
      • In the Search field, enter keywords for an event information, or user.
      • Use the drop-down menu to select a specific event type, or select All Event Types.
    5. Select your desired date range from 7 days, 2 weeks, or last month.
    6. Click Export Report to save or open the file.
    Results: You have exported an Admin Activity report based on your selections.
