How do I export my vault data while logged in via the LastPass website?

You can export the contents of your LastPass vault so that you can keep a secure copy for your own records. This export method will display your vault data on a web browser page so it can be saved.

Restriction: If you have a LastPass Teams or LastPass Business account, the ability to perform these actions may be limited or prohibited due to policies enabled by your LastPass admin.
Restriction: Exporting TOTP codes for password items (i.e., one-time passcodes you generate within your vault) is not supported.
Note: Are you logged in via the LastPass browser extension? See How do I export stored data from LastPass as a generic CSV file? for export instructions.
    1. Go to the LastPass login page at https://lastpass.com/?ac=1
    2. Enter your email address and master password, then click Log In.
    3. If prompted, complete steps for multifactor authentication (if it is enabled for your account).
    4. Take the action that matches your navigational experience:
      • New experience – Select the Account tab, then go to Fix a problem yourself > Export vault items.
      • Previous experience – Select Account Options OR < your username > at the bottom of the menu, then go to Advanced Options > Export.
    5. If prompted, enter your master password. If desired, select Do not re-prompt for and use the drop-down menu to select a time interval.
    6. Select Continue.

Result: An email notification has been sent to your LastPass email address for verification.

    7. Check your inbox for a "Verify export" message, then click Continue export in the email to verify.
Note: The verification link expires after 10 minutes.
    8. Return to your vault, then go to Advanced Options > Export again.
    9. If prompted, enter your master password and click Submit.
Results: You have successfully exported your LastPass vault data, and your sites and secure notes are displayed in a web browser page (which you can copy the contents and paste it into a text editor to save the file locally). If pop-ups from LastPass are not blocked, a CSV file containing your vault data will also download.
