How do I manage strict equivalent subdomains?

How do I manage strict equivalent subdomains?

If you have a single account shared across multiple subdomains, you can use LastPass to set those sites up as equivalent subdomains so that you don't have independent site entries for each stored in your vault.

    Add a new equivalent subdomain

For equivalent subdomains (meaning you have the same login credentials for Site #1: https://subdomain.example.com and Site #2: https://sample.com), if you want to be more granular about which fill options appear on specific URLs, then you would add your equivalent subdomain as: =subdomain.example.com , sample.com in your entry.

    Keep in mind:
    • Both domains and subdomains can be entered by a LastPass user (e.g., sample.com and services.sample.com, respectively)
    • All subdomains and paths are considered equivalent automatically by default (e.g., services.sample.com where "services" is the subdomain)
    • To mark subdomains as having the same login credentials in LastPass, specific syntax is required. You must enter "=" directly before the subdomain, then enter a space after the domain, then enter a comma, then enter another space (e.g., =services.sample.com , login.lastpass.com)
    • Top-level domains (TLDs) are not accepted and will be considered as invalid (e.g., *.com)
About this task: To add equivalent subdomains, do the following:
    1. Log in to LastPass and access your vault by doing either of the following:
      • In your web browser toolbar, click the LastPass icon active LastPass icon and select Open My Vault.
      • Go to https://lastpass.com/?ac=1 and log in with your email address and master password.
    2. Select Account Settings in the left navigation.
    3. Click the Equivalent Domains tab.
    4. If you are unable to locate any of your desired domains in this list, click Add.
    5. Enter a list of subdomains you wish to use with the same login credentials using the syntax described above (example: =services.logmein.com , login.lastpass.com).
    6. Click Add when finished. If you encounter a message that your entry is not considered equivalent, please see Why doesn't LastPass recognize my equivalent domain as a valid domain?
    7. If prompted, enter your master password, then click Submit.
    8. When prompted, click OK to confirm.

    Edit an existing equivalent subdomain

About this task: If at least one of the subdomains that you wish to make equivalent is already listed, do the following to edit an existing entry:
    1. For a Global entry in the "Type" column, click the Expand icon on the right side of the row. For a Local entry, click the Edit icon .

Note: "Enterprise" domains set by a LastPass admin cannot be edited or removed.

    2. Edit the list to include all of the subdomains for which you share the same login credentials, and then click Update.
    3. If prompted, enter your master password, then click Submit.
    4. When prompted, click OK to confirm.

    Delete a set of subdomains

    1. Click the Delete icon from the "Equivalent Domains" section.
    2. When prompted, click OK to confirm.
