I don't have a LastPass account, how do I move the LastPass Authenticator to my new phone?

    If you use the LastPass Authenticator as your multifactor authentication app to protect an account (e.g., email, social, etc.) and got a new phone, you will need to disable multifactor authentication for this app in the site's account security settings, then install the LastPass Authenticator on your new phone and re-enable multifactor authentication again.

    Attention: These instructions are not intended for LastPass users who have enabled the LastPass Authenticator as a multifactor option to protect their vault. For those instructions, please see I have a LastPass account, how do I move the LastPass Authenticator to a new phone?
    • Disable the LastPass Authenticator in your site's account.
      1. If you have enabled a site (e.g., email, social media, etc.) to use the LastPass Authenticator to protect your account for that site, log in to that account and follow the steps to disable the LastPass Authenticator as your multifactor option within the account's security settings.

        Note: Steps to disable multifactor authentication will vary for every site.

    • Install the LastPass Authenticator app on your new device.
      1. Choose from the following options:
    • Re-enable the LastPass Authenticator in your site's account.
      1. Log back in to your site's account and follow the steps to re-enable the LastPass Authenticator as your multifactor option within the account's security settings.

        Note: Steps to re-enable multifactor authentication will vary for every site.

    You have successfully moved the LastPass Authenticator to your new phone and re-enrolled your desired site's account to use it for multifactor authentication.
