How do I print out my sites and secure notes for LastPass?

LastPass provides you several ways for you to back up or store your data, one of which is the ability to export and/or print your sites and/or secure notes.

Attention: Currently, there are two different extension menu experiences, so instructions may differ depending on your navigational experience. The "new experience" applies to version 4.104.0 and newer for the LastPass browser extension, whereas the "previous experience" refers to version 4.103.0 and earlier.

Note: Instructions to print will vary based the web browser you're using.

Using the LastPass browser extension (new experience)

Important: These instructions apply to those using v4.104.0 and newer of the LastPass browser extension.

Click the LastPass icon in your browser toolbar and select Vault.
Go to Account > Fix a problem yourself > Export vault items in the left navigation.
When prompted, enter your master password and click Continue.

Results: A CSV file containing your vault data has been downloaded, and you can open the file and print your stored data.

Using the LastPass browser extension (previous experience)

Important: These instructions apply to those using v4.103.0 and earlier of the LastPass browser extension.

In your web browser toolbar, click the inactive (grey or black) LastPass icon .
Enter your email address and master password, then click Log In.
If prompted, complete steps for multifactor authentication (if it is enabled on your account).
Click the LastPass icon in your browser toolbar.
Select Account Options OR < your username > at the bottom of the menu.
Troubleshooting: To print sites or secure notes for a specific identity (instead of all identities), select Identities, then select your desired identity (if prompted, enter your master password and click Continue), then proceed with the steps below.
Select Advanced > Print.
Select either Sites or Secure Notes.
Result: An email notification has been sent to your LastPass email address for verification.

Warning: The verification link expires after 10 minutes.
Check your inbox for a "LastPass Security Notification: Verify export" message, then click Continue export in the email to verify.
Once verified, continue the process by repeating Steps #4–7 above.
When prompted, enter your master password and click Submit.

Results: Your sites or secure notes are displayed in your web browser, and you can right-click on the web page and select Print to print your stored data.

Using the LastPass website (online web vault)

To print your sites and secure notes while logged in to your online web vault (via the LastPass website), you will need to first export your data, then you can choose to print it.

Complete the email verification process.

Click the LastPass icon in your browser toolbar and select Vault.
Go to Advanced Options > Export.
Result: An email notification has been sent to your LastPass email address for verification.

Warning: The verification link expires after 10 minutes.
Check your inbox for a "LastPass Security Notification: Verify export" message, then click Continue export in the email to verify.

Export your vault data.

Once verified, continue the export process by returning to your vault and navigating to Advanced Options > Export again.
When prompted, enter your master password and click Continue.

Results: Your sites or secure notes are displayed in your web browser, and you can right-click on the web page and select Print to print your stored data.
