How do I unpair then re-pair my LastPass account with the LastPass Authenticator?

    You can disable the LastPass Authenticator as your multifactor option for your LastPass account, then pair it again to re-enable it (as a troubleshooting step, if needed).

    • Unpair the LastPass Authenticator.
      1. Log in to LastPass and access your vault by doing either of the following:
        • In your web browser toolbar, click the LastPass icon active LastPass icon and select Open My Vault.
        • Go to https://lastpass.com/?ac=1 and log in with your email address and master password.
      2. Select Account Settings in the left navigation.
      3. Select the Multifactor Options tab.
      4. Click the Edit icon Edit option for the LastPass Authenticator.
      5. For the Enabled option, select No from the drop-down menu.
      6. Select Update.
      7. When prompted, enter your master password then click Continue > OK.

        Result: The LastPass Authenticator is now unpaired.

    • Re-pair the LastPass Authenticator.
      1. Click the Edit icon Edit option for the LastPass Authenticator.
      2. For the Enabled option, select Yes from the drop-down menu.
      3. Select Update.
      4. When prompted, enter your master password then click Continue.
      5. Click Enroll.
      6. On the next page, select one of the following options:.
        • Select Activate to re-pair your LastPass account to your existing LastPass Authenticator app on the same mobile device.
        • Select Edit > Start pairing again to start pairing on a new mobile device. For further instructions, view enrolling the LastPass Authenticator.
      7. In your vault, click OK > OK.

        Result: You have re-paired the LastPass Authenticator.

    You have successfully unpaired then re-paired your LastPass account with the LastPass Authenticator as your enabled multifactor authentication option.
