How do I view and manage my active LastPass sessions?
You can view all devices and IP addresses where you accessed your LastPass account using the LastPass browser extension or by logging in to your online web Vault. If you happened to leave an account open on another device or are unsure whether you did so, you can view all of your active sessions, and destroy those sessions if needed.
Attention: Currently, there are two different extension menu experiences, so instructions may differ depending on your navigational experience. The "new experience" applies to version 4.104.0 and newer for the LastPass browser extension, whereas the "previous experience" refers to version 4.103.0 and earlier.
Note: If you are a LastPass Free user who has selected Mobile as your active device type, you can still perform these actions on your computer.
Restriction: This feature is not supported on the LastPass Password Manager mobile app.
Using the LastPass browser extension
- In your web browser toolbar, click the inactive (grey or black) LastPass icon
.
- Enter your email address and master password, then click Log In.
- If prompted, complete steps for multifactor authentication (if it is enabled on your account).
- Click the LastPass icon
in your browser toolbar.
- Take the action that matches your navigational experience:
- New experience – Select the Account tab, then go to .
- Previous experience – Select Account Options OR < your username > at the bottom of the menu, then go to .
- Choose from the following options:
- Kill selected sessions – Check the box for each session you'd like remove, then click Kill checked sessions.
- Kill all but current session – Select this option to remove all sessions except the one you are actively in.
Results: You have viewed and/or destroyed your desired sessions.
What to do next: For all sessions that you have ended, you will be prompted to log in to LastPass again to access your account from that device and/or web browser.
Using the LastPass website (online web vault)
You can manage your active sessions from your online web vault via the LastPass website.
- Navigate to https://lastpass.com/?ac=1.
- Enter your email address and master password, then click Log In.
- Select Account Settings in the left navigation.
- On the General tab, click Show Advanced Settings.
- In the "Tools" section, click Destroy Sessions.
- Choose from the following options:
- Kill selected sessions – Check the box for each session you'd like remove, then click Kill checked sessions.
- Kill all but current session – Select this option to remove all sessions except the one you are actively in.
Results: You have viewed and/or destroyed your desired sessions.
What to do next: For all sessions that you have ended, you will be prompted to log in to LastPass again to access your account from that device and/or web browser.
