How to gather diagnostic information for support about LastPass Universal Proxy v5.x?

    You can send diagnostic data, such as log files and configuration files to customer support using our data collection tool.

    About this task:
    Note: Requirements:
    Operating System Installer
    Windows Docker Desktop
    Mac Docker Desktop
    Linux Docker Engine

    The tool packages the following data files into a tar.gz format:
    • log files
    • result of the diagnostics
    • configuration file, after removing sensitive data from the file
    1. Open a terminal window based on your OS:
      Operating System Instructions
      Windows Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
      Linux CLI The terminal window is used by default.
      Linux with graphical user interface Open the Terminal app.
      MAC Open the Terminal app.
    2. Execute the following command:
      docker run -v <nameofthevolume>:/usr/local/universalproxy/volume -it --rm <dockerimagerepository>:<dockerimagetag> -collectDiagnosticData

      Command example

      docker run -v universalproxy:/usr/local/universalproxy/volume -it --rm lastpass/universalproxy:5.0.0 -collectDiagnosticData

    By default, the tar.gz file is created in the volume under diagnosticData. The file name will be UP_diagnostic_data<currentDate>.tar.gz..
