My LastPass Teams or LastPass Business account has expired, what options do I have?

    If you have a LastPass Teams or LastPass Business account and your plan has expired, you can choose from renewing your current plan, upgrading LastPass Business, switching to different plan, or taking no action and using your (now converted) LastPass Free account. Your options will vary depending on whether you are the LastPass admin with purchasing power or an end user.

    Important: If you choose to switch to a personal plan or keep your converted account as LastPass Free (instead of renewing your current plan), you will not lose access to your vault but you will lose access to the shared folders that were created within your LastPass Teams or LastPass Business account.

    I am the LastPass admin

    Once you create a LastPass Teams or LastPass Business account, you are the LastPass admin with purchasing power (i.e., the account owner).

    As the LastPass admin, choose from the following options:
    • Renew your current plan (by selecting Renew on the in-product messaging in your vault)
    • Upgrade online from your LastPass Teams account to LastPass Business
    • Switch to a personal LastPass Premium or LastPass Families plan – see Downgrade from a LastPass Teams or LastPass Business account
      Note: This option requires that you use a different email address than the one you used for your company account.
    • Take no action and continue to use your (now converted) LastPass Free account – all end users have automatically converted to LastPass Free accounts as well

    I am a LastPass end user

    As an end user on your company's LastPass account, choose from the following options:
    • Create a new personal account (using a personal email address), then export your personal stored credentials from your company account and import them into your new personal account.
      Restriction: If you have a LastPass Teams or LastPass Business account, the ability to perform these actions may be limited or prohibited due to policies enabled by your LastPass admin.
    • Contact your LastPass admin and request to be removed from the company account, which will automatically convert your account to LastPass Free
    • Take no action and continue to use your (now converted) LastPass Free account
