Some of my passwords and vault items are missing! How do I get them back?
If you log in to your LastPass vault and notice that some of your stored passwords and vault items are missing, there are a few things you can do to get them back.
Check that you are using the right Identity
If you have created Identities for your LastPass vault, you may have selected an Identity that does not contain your stored item.

Check your deleted items
If you have deleted the item, you can check in your deleted items repository and restore if needed.
- Log in to LastPass and access your vault by doing either of the following:
- In your web browser toolbar, click the LastPass icon
and select Vault or Open My Vault.
- Go to https://lastpass.com/?ac=1 and log in with your email address and master password.
- In your web browser toolbar, click the LastPass icon
- Select Advanced Options in the left navigation.
- Select View deleted items.
- For a single item, locate your deleted item, then click the Restore icon
.
- For multiple items, hover over each item and check the box in the upper-right hand corner to select it, then use the Actions drop-down menu and select Restore.
- For a single item, locate your deleted item, then click the Restore icon
- When prompted, click Yes.
Refresh your vault
If you only recently saved the item and LastPass hasn't been refreshed, you can clear your local cache then refresh your vault.
- While logged in to LastPass, click the active LastPass icon
in your toolbar.
- Take the action that matches your navigational experience:
- New experience – Select the Account tab, then select .
- Previous experience – Select Account Options OR < your username > at the bottom of the menu, then select .
