Transakt is an authentication app developed by Entersekt to bring banking-grade Two-Factor Authentication to your mobile device.
FAQs
What is happening and when?
On January 31, 2021, our partnership with Entersekt will end, and their authentication app, Transakt, will no longer be supported. As a result, LastPass will no longer support Transakt as a multifactor authentication option. If you have not disabled Transkt as a multifactor option in your LastPass account prior to February 1, 2021, you will be locked out of your LastPass account due to being unable to authenticate. For this reason, it is required that you disable Transakt as your multifactor option.
How does this impact me?
These upcoming changes will only impact you if you are a LastPass user that has enabled Transakt as a multifactor authentication option for accessing your LastPass vault.
All other LastPass users will remain unaffected by this change, and no action is needed.
What actions do I need to take if I have Transakt enabled in LastPass?
To ensure uninterrupted service and continuous access to your LastPass vault, you will need to disable Transakt as a multifactor authentication option in LastPass by January 31, 2021. Once Transakt has been disabled, you can choose to enable the LastPass Authenticator (recommended) or a different multifactor authentication option.
What happens if I don't take action?
On February 1, 2021, if you have not disabled Transakt as a multifactor option in your LastPass account, you will be locked out of your account due to being unable to authenticate. For this reason, it is required that you disable Transakt as your multifactor option.
