Why is my local LastPass vault appearing blank when I'm using a virtual environment?
Your local data files for LastPass can be affected if using a virtual environment when accessing your vault.
By default, LastPass stores common system files that multiple users will require and share in common in C: \Program Files (x86)\LastPass (or if a 32bit OS, C: \Program Files\LastPass).
We try to store user-specific data in the User's application data folder. Specifically: % APPDATA%\..\LocalLow\LastPass (e.g.: C: \Users\AppData\LocalLow\LastPass). If for some reason we cannot write to that directory, LastPass will try to write to C: \Program Files (x86)\LastPass\.
In some of the Citrix and Xendesk deployments, administrators have had to create an exception to persist/restore the user's %APPDATA%\..LocalLow\LastPass\ location after they re-login.
Not doing so would wipe out all of the user's LastPass local data files.
